Common Conditions & Treatments

We’re the top chiropractor for lower back pain, back spasm relief, and more.

Many patients come to Dakota Chiropractic with treatable conditions such as frequent migraines, sciatica, lower back pain, and back spasms. Chiropractic practice, however, isn’t just about caring for the patient. We look at each person as a whole, because we want to heal you, not just your symptoms.

Using chiropractic adjustments and therapies, we remove interference from your nervous system, allowing your body to heal itself and alleviate pain. Below are a few common conditions we see at Dakota Chiropractic, as well as the way we treat them—and you.

  1. Lower back pain and back spasms: Back pain has many causes and, as such, many treatments. During your visit, we will gather information on your symptoms to accurately diagnose and correct your back pain, as well as provide back spasm relief.

  2. Neck pain: As with back pain, neck pain can have many causes, but we at Dakota Chiropractic promise to get to the root of your symptoms. You deserve relief!

  3. Headaches: Headaches are one of the most frustrating symptoms our patients experience. To treat headache symptoms, it is important to remove triggers and implement pain-relieving exercises alongside chiropractic adjustments.

  4. Disc compression: Gravity and lifestyle can lead to the space between your intervertebral discs—which are like your body’s shock absorbers—compressing. In these cases, intersegmental decompression along with chiropractic adjustments are the best course of action to provide pain relief.

  5. Disc herniation: Sometimes an intervertebral disc can become compressed in a way that causes it to move out into the spinal canal. If this is the case, you may experience startling symptoms like radiating pain or numbness in your extremities. We will target those symptoms and then correct the cause of the herniation.

  6. Sports injuries: Staying active keeps your body vibrant and healthy, so we encourage our patients to be as active as they can, of course. But what happens when an injury has you sidelined? We can help!

  7. Balance and fall prevention: Many of our patients are at a time in their lives when maintaining their balance is no longer a given. Luckily, with regular chiropractic adjustments aimed at improving the nervous system, we can intentionally enhance their sense of balance.

  8. Arthritis: Arthritis causes a buildup of extra bone in your joints, which results in pain and lack of mobility. Chiropractic adjustments aim to maintain the motion throughout the spine and contribute to arthritis prevention.

  9. Whiplash: The effects of whiplash can be long-lasting. Getting in for a corrective chiropractic adjustment soon after a whiplash injury will facilitate your body’s healing process!

  10. Auto injury: Chiropractic care is a great tool to get you back to your pre-accident self. We know that there is a lot on your mind after a car accident; ensure your health remains top priority.
