How I came to Chiropractic
My passion for chiropractic began as a patient. When the standard healthcare intervention of antibiotics and tubes did not clear up my chronic ear infections my mom, with an open mind, took me to a chiropractor for treatment. He explained that chiropractic could remove nervous system interference to allow my body to heal itself and function optimally. After a few visits and no more ear infections our trust for chiropractic was founded.
This trust grew, for me, throughout high school and college. I felt comfortable seeking out chiropractic for sports injuries and any other aches and pains that arose. In college I decided that chiropractic was the perfect way to realize my dream of working within health care while being able to naturally and holistically improve the well-being of those I encounter.
What Chiropractic means to me
I am a chiropractor. To me, that means I begin with the spine. With my assessment, treatment and clinical thoughts, I begin with the spine. But it does not end there. I look holistically at my patients and their needs. I look beyond the spine to posture, movement and lifestyle. My goal is to understand my patients’ goals and to be a resource for facilitating them.
Teaching is in my DNA. My parents are teachers and I aim to be a partner in health for my patients, teaching them to advocate for their own health. My patients are empowered to ask questions and learn about how to facilitate healing in their body with chiropractic. The pathways to better health are exciting and I would feel privileged to be a partner in your journey.
I am a graduate from Northwestern Health Sciences University where I received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology. Before attending Northwestern, I graduated magna cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
I am certified in activator technique, flexion/distraction technique, posture rehab and rock taping. I treats patients and families of all ages!
I focus on specificity in my adjusting, allowing treatments to be gentle yet focused and effective. It is my passion to educate, empower and inspire patients to improve and maintain their overall health.
Dakota Chiropractic. Better health awaits.
